Failed smog: P1334 code only (no P1230)

code p 0320 refers to crankshaft position(CKP) sensor /engine speed ( RPM) sensor ---circuit malfunction===causes --wiring---CKP/RPM sensor---ECM
code p 04310 refers to warm up catalytic converter, bank 2--efficiency below threshold===causes ---cat converter---wiring---HO2S 2
As it is not passing the smog test I would be replacing the HO2S sensor ( manifold or before the cat on bank 2 of the engine ) or more likely a failed cat converter
you may have had the P 0320 code for a long time and have not noticed a drop in performance but as cat converters have a lot to do with smog control , that is the area I would advise checking first

CODES P1312 AND P1334 These codes are related to the DI Module. Check the DI Module. Replace it if needed and clear the codes.

CODES P1110 Code P1110 is related to the Turbo Bypass Valve, check the vacuum lines at the Bypass Valve and especially at a vacuum sensor mounted on the firewall driver's side. The lines become loose with age and will pop off or can become disconnected when someone is reaching behind the for other reasons.

Have the fault codes read and that will point to the faults that caused the problem

P1230 refers to ign coil that has an internal open on the primary side of coil

Was the light on or did the tech say the system was not ready? They can be two different things.

A light would need to get scanned or a code reader attached to the car may do it. Most auto part stores will hook up a code reader for free and let you know what codes are present.

If the light was not on but it stated system not ready on the smog machine that can be due to the battery being disconnected. Its basically saying that the computer needs to go through drive cycles so it can test the its systems.

No the water pump will not affect the smog test. You probably failed the idle?
Usually with this age of vehicle you can replace the o2 (oxygen) sensor and it will pass. Cleaning the MAF if it has one cant hurt either if you do it right.

probably retrieved code po700/740? i believe the solenoids are above the valve body in transmission. would leave this repair to trans shop.

What? that's crazy! why wont you take advises from several mechanics? this is the best solution.
