I have a 93 bmw 325i . speedometer dial doesn't work but the digital mileage still works n odometer dial works fine what do I do

The check engine light could be any number of things and the only way to find out is have the codes scanned. The brake light issue is common on E46 3 series. It is an issue were the brown ground wire that goes into the lamp housing melts at the connector causing a loose ground connection. The connector needs to be replaced and also add additional grounding wires to prevent further issues. And for fuel additives either use the cheveron techron, or the bmw fuel additive(the bmw stuff is the exact same thing, so just use which ever is cheaper).

Common problem on BMW's apparently...there are on-line repair services but they are NOT cheap...100-300 bucks. Tough to fix yourself...unles you are a highly skilled techie!

If your temp and fuel gauges are playing up then check ALL the fuses under the bonnet. My brother in law's 1998 381Ti compact started playing up with the fuel and temp gauges swinging about like they had a mind of their own. Turned out to by the rear brake light fuze....

check wiring harness for fuse links usually under hood in engine compartment buy fuse/relay box also check relays for corrosion on sockets
