You need to offer more information... but basically I will say this:
1. Get a professional tune-up.
2. OR, if you are pretty handy with cars and tools,
a) Replace all the spark plugs with new ones from NGK.
b) Change out the fuel filter
c) Change the air filter
d) Change the oil and oil filter
THEN, take the car to a dealer and have the timing checked...
If the muffler system is the original, there is a slight possibilty that your catalytic converter needs to be replaced, and this will increase your fuel economy also. Lastly, make sure your tires are inflated to proper tire pressure... maybe 32 psi in all tires. Low tire pressure will decrease your fuel economy greatly, make it harder to steer, and will wear out your tires quicker.
