Its usually metal and is found between the Dump Bed and the Cab of the Truck. Sometimes it has a plastic grip on the end so you don't have to touch he metal and even better... Some Dumps today are really cool and you no longer need to get out of the truck to DUMP the load. Just make sure if you are trying to use the dump to drop a load that you un-hook the gate but you probably already know that.

Sounds like the shifter cable is broke from what your describing. disconnect it from the transmission underneath the car and have an assistant shift the lever back and forth as you observe cable movement underneath the vehicle.

The D4 light keeps blinking and when this happens the trainny doesnt shift right. I have diconnected the battery, this did work, but did it again after about 3 times driving it.

When the shift lever is in Park, is the D4 light on, or blinking? If the D4 light is on steady, while the shift lever is in Park, chances are your transmission computer has taken a dump on you. If the D4 light is blinking while the shift lever is in Park, the computer has stored a code, that will give you some idea where to look for the problem. Here is a link describing how to retrieve the codes. Good luck.

1998 Buick LeSabre 3800 V6. Coolant is leaking fro an "L" shaped hose that leads from the engine block to other heater hoses. Is this a major repair or can i do it myself?

My guess is you can fix it yourself if you posses rudimentary repair skills. Dump the radiator. Remove the hose, Take to parts store. Try to describe to them. Take a picture beforehand, just in case. Replace hose, refill radiator. Start engine, put heater on high, top off radiator again, close radiator, check for leaks, that's it. If you are really cautious then you will fill with all water first, check for leaks, dump and refill with proper antifreeze/water mix.

Describe your 1995 Chevrolet Blazer Probl1994

First thing, check for vacuum leaks. Wiggle all hoses while engine is running and listen for a hiss. Check all intake bolts for tightness. Dump some soapy water along the edge of the intake where it joins to the head. If it bubbles a lot, your intake gaskets need replacing. Change plugs, wires. Change cap and rotor. Change fuel filter. Do that much and get back to me if no change.

Car dumped fluid on driveway and now won't go into gear or move

The fluid is most likely hydraulic fluid from the slave cylinder,I would like to be able to say that's the only problem but the problem you describe indicates that something is wrong in the clutch also. You say kinda like it's stuck in gear, can you describe this better for me?
