Overfill engine oil with 8 quarts of transmission fluid in addition to the oil already in the engine

Drain engine oil and tranny oil from engine, replace with correct amount of engine oil. Check on getting a Chilton or Haynes repair guide for your vehicle. This will help you better understand your vehicle.

Hi there:
Check this information about Mercedes Benz W123 (200, 200T, 230E, 230CE, 230TE Class) with M102 engine type...

- Transmission fluid (Shell, Donax or Mobil 220)

Service change only - 5.1 quarts. Total refill - 6.4 quarts.

Additionally, keep in ind that the owner's manual is your best friend, check it.

Does a mercedes benz 2007 350 CLK convertiable have a 722.9 transmission? would you use BG ATF synthetic auto transmission fluid in this model at the 40 thousand mile trans service?

If you don't have synthetic in it now I woundn't, because you can not get all the fluid out with a regular transmission fluid change. Your transmission holds 14 to 15 quarts and when they do a fluid and filter change they replace about 5 quarts from the system.

How do i check the transmission fluid in my clk 320 and if it is low what type do i put in it

In order to check the fluid in the transmission you need the Mercedes Benz dip stick. It's a special tool needed for all the 722.6 transmissions. Best thing is probably to just stop by a Mercedes Independent shop where they can check it real quick. It uses a synthetic based fluid. I always go with the factory fluid.

What transmission fluid can I use in my 1993 Mercedes Benz 190E

AF3 onepx.gif DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid
BMW: Power steering use AF3; Models with combined power steering,
hydraulic brake booster, self-leveling suspension system use SLF
Mercedes-Benz: Use only manufacturer approved fluid

Look on the back of the bottle of fluid you are looking to buy, if it does not say is is approved by MB, don't use it.
