Fuel return line 05 GMC yukon - 2005 GMC Yukon

Hi William Schohn, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? What would you like to know about the return line. It actually returns fuel from the fuel pressure regulator which is attached to the fuel rail where you will find the injectors and returns it to the fuel tank.

SOURCE: 2003 GMC Yukon - fuel pump

Check your ECM fuse. There should be 2 fuses for your ECM. It's the ECM that controls the function of the fuel pump. Good luck friend and it's also common for the wire harness from the frame to the fuel pump to go bad due to corrosion from the bad weather we get in the winter and rainy spring and fall.

you can manually actuate the relay if you want. Take the cover off, and push the contact over with a screwdriver and see if you can hear the pump. Have you checked to see if there's power to the relay, both the control side and the side providing power to the pump? There's two different circuits involved here, so you have to make sure they're both ok. If you have power before the relay, and power coming out of the relay headed to to pump, then your problem falls between the relay and the pump. Other things to consider, are the fuel pressure sensor, and oil pressure sensor. Some vehicles will not turn the pump on if they sense no oil pressure after a couple of seconds. Secondly, if the fuel pressure sensor is telling the pump that there's plenty of pressure, (even if there's not) it'll shut the pump down. Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: how to change the third brake light on 05 gmc

The individual LED lights are not replaceable. You will have to replace whole lense assy. Remove two screws, then unplug wiring connector. These are expensive from dealer. Shop around for a better deal. Auto stores, online sellers, and even eBay sells them.

My fuel pressure goes to 60 pounds when the keys is turned on then starts dropping Is it my fuel pump or pressure regulator? 2004 GMC Yukon XL

Fuel pressure may drop due to a leaking injector or bad check valve in the fuel pump itself. The regulator does not come into effect until the engine is running and a vacuum supply is produced to it. If the regulator is leaking internally, it could send fuel back to the tank as well. Prime the fuel line and pinch off the return line ( if possible ) to eliminate a regulator problem. If the fuel pressure drops with the return line pinched off, suspect a leaking injector or fuel pump. If injector is leaking, the vehicle should run rich and cause a hard start/rough run condition

Fuel lines in 2004 gmc Yukon froze. How do I get it to start again

Put some gas in it before you ruin the fuel pump. That is step #1.
Next, try running a heat gun or hair dryer over the fuel lines from one end to the other, if you suspect the fuel lines are frozen.
Hopefully that will be enough to get it going.

There is no leak of gas until the engine is cold. After starts dripping on the rear of the gas tank. Yukon 4x4 05. Is this return line or something else? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

You will need to follow leak to pin point the leak to fix.Could be the seal that holds the pump in tank, could be fuel filter leaking and gas is traveling down fuel line to back of vehicle.Get a pair of safety glasses to look, could be return line. Can you do a video of the leak?

2004 gmc yukon....I have a strong gas smell coming from the driverside rear. Does anyone know what this could be, Nothing leaking????

Yes the vapor storage carbon canister is overloaded with fuel, this happens often from topping off or a faulty canister purge line or valve.

I have a 2003 yukon Problem with the GMC Yukon XL

What size engine ? 4.3 L vortex P0300 random misfire code is usually associated with vacuum leaks , but could also be low fuel pressure , plugged fuel filter , fuel pump problem , clogged injectors etc... doing fuel pressure an flow testing would confirm or eliminate that as a problem . Fuel injector balance testing would confirm or eliminate clogged injectors .

Will 1997 tahoe fuel return line fit on a 1996 gmc yukon

Yes it should, but if your only looking to replace a small leak along the return line. Just keep it simple and section the damaged area with a rubber fuel hose. Just make sure it's a fuel injected rubber hose and no longer then 3 inched and double clamp with compression clamps. Common place to find the leak is where the fuel line is secured on the frame by the plastic clips. Good luck and keep me posted.
