How do I erase the wireless door locking function on my 2005 Toyota Highlander?

Had to jumpstart my battery a few weeks ago - battery is now okay but when it died or in the process of the jumpstart, apparently the previously disabled alarm system is now back to the factory settings which are bizarre and scary! The owners manual says I can contact my Toyota dealer for how to do this but before I take that step, thought I'd see if some smart people out here can tell me what to do. While I'm waiting for a solution, I am going to attempt to switch the beep off - my owners manual does have those instructions and even that will be a big improvement! Many thanks for any help out here!

Triple posted.
the operators guide does cover this, i guess you lost yours?
i posted the toy link to the free manual, get it ,as in 2015 it drops off the chapter on security, chapter 1,, page 33 clearly states
what to do with the battery pulled. i sent the link in another post.
i click doors and locks.
here
http://www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/resources/owners-manuals
then i click to page 33 see BATTERY? disconnected?
it is there now or was, but life downloaded opr guides
are always better than 7 year old guides.(paper or not)

now ill paste it.
f the battery becomes discharged dueto the vehicle being unused for a long
time, etc.,
when the battery is recharged
or replaced, the system will give the
alarm. If this happens, immediately unlock
any of the side doors or back door with
the key or the wireless remote control
transmitter, and the alarm will stop.

reading further it does tell you how it auto arms
and auto unarms, key in ignition does disarm it.
and shows the key battery reset rules.
RTM its all there, unlike your post implies.

2006 Highlander.A few weeks ago the O/D Off button stopped working and the light don't come on on the dash. Reason? and Fix?

This indicator light is used to display the working status of the automatic overspeed gear. When the indicator light is on, it means that the O/D gear is locked. At this time, the acceleration capacity is improved, but the fuel consumption increases.
If the indicator light is not on, the possible fault points include: gateway damage, ELV electronic steering lock damage, key damage, comfort CAN line failure, drive CAN line failure, anti-theft function failure, steering column control unit failure, instrument control unit failure, and There may be strong signal interference from the outside world. You need to go to a professional repair shop to repair your toyota highlander or buy a new car, such as toyota calya.

My highlander 2008, the doors can be locked and open with key and remote but cannot open the trunk with key and remote

To make the rear door open, you have to hold the button for a while. If the battery is weak, that will drain the power and the door will not open. Try the other remote and see if it works. At that point, I would replace the batteries in both remotes anyway.
That would be the fastest and cheapest way to eliminate one possible problem.
If the inside open button works to open the door, I would say the mechanism is working fine and it is the batteries.
I had to replace the batteries in both my remotes at the 3 year mark. That should be about now, the second time, for yours.

2005 toyota kluger alternator problem

Possibly - get your hands on a multimeter and see what voltage is at the battery terminal firstly with the car not started your battery could also be dead if it has dropped a cell it will read under 12-12.5 volts. Then check when the car is running if it is under 13V say 12-12.5 then it is your alternator. Otherwise if there is healthy voltage 13.5+ then the alternator is good and your problem lies elsewhere.

I have a 2006 Toyota Highlander Limited with original Panasonic Battery. Purchased vehicle new in Dec. 2005. Know the battery can't last much longer and need to know what is best replacement battery for...

My 2004 v6 2wd highlander has the same battery, and I am just now replacing it. What is that 7 years? I found via google that it has 550 CCA. I think it would have lasted longer if not for kids leaving lights on every few weeks and an unusually cold winter for this far south.

When vechicle is started or placed in gear, the doors will not lock as on other Toyota vechicles. Is there a remedy?

For the 2005 Highlander, that is not a standard feature. You'll have to lock the doors the old fashioned way. Sorry.

Toyota Highlander 03, battery light on, alternator

I think you need a new alternator. Also check every fuse in depth. Make sure all the connections are in place and secure.
