Possible air trapped in the coolant system caused be a head gasket leak into the coolant. For about $25.00 you can get a block tester from any parts store. This will let you know if there is exhaust leaching into the coolant. Google block tester. If you find its a head gasket leak. It's remedied by replacing the head-gasket. Or a quick fix with SteelSeal.com

hello, this code usually comes up in conjunction with another code, it just means that another computer on the car can not communicate with the ECM, are there any other codes besides this, is the abs/VSC, TRac cruise control or 4x4 lights on?

The converters generally fail only after the truck has been running rich. I would not replace them until certain the engine is running properly. There is no harm to the car to drive with these converters. Was there any history of rich operation codes?
