Too many things to trouble shoot here. The first things I would check would be the door switches one by one in a series of opening and closing them individually. The next thing would be the dash control for the interior lights. The next would be the body computer and would not be a bad thing to check your fuse distribution panel either for shorts.

SOURCE: battery totally drained

Can it crank with a jump start? Check for good contact on the terminals. Also, some new batteries are not fully charged. If you did not drive the car much with the new parts, it may not have ever gotten fully charged. If you can wiggle the battery terminals, they are too loose. Lastly, the alternator contacts should be checked and the output of the alternator should be checked with a proper meter.

Suggested answer below is perfect..
(check the interior light switch...
then move on to the door switches)..

If you have already done that

FREE wiring diagrams fro most popular USA market vehicles
are available (registration required) at BBB Industries... Also see their very helpful TSBs (technical service bulletins).

Hope this helps.

((and don't forget to put in that new dome bulb)).

Something is draining the battery on my 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada please help

Check for any lites left on somewhere, interior--under the hood, whereever. Best time to check is in the dark. Sometimes a faulty generator can cause the battery to drain. Then, I pull /replace fuses, one at a time. When you pull the fuse on the problem circuit the excess drain goes away. Then you check everything on that fuse circuit.

2008 Jeep Liberty error code gate on dash and interior light will not turn off got new battery and still doing it

can i buy a comma? says vanna white?? LOL !
ok, the battery drains, so you got a DRAIN, called phantom drain.
or dark current.!!
we use a thing called an AMMETER (DMM) to find all drains, easy

do you have one, want to learn or just wanting wild guessing.

on any 08 liberty, we check the scan tool data.
oops it shows battery low, wow even the PCM sees that.

new batteries do not fix drain.
nor dead alternators.

get it serviced, by a pro. ?

1: charge battery (rested its 12.6vdc )
2: start engine, scan tool shows, what DTC errors (post em')
3: battery voltage is , 13.3, to 15vdc running, if not charge system is faulting.
4: ok all that is ok, i then key off and measure bettery cable neg lug drain current, if 0.010a to 0.040a its ok, if over 0.1 amps its a drain.
we then find the drain cause, ASK? its not hard with a meter.
but i bet all you wanted is a wild guess.

Constant drainging of battery...already replaced the alternator

Check all the little lights, in the trunk, interior of the car, even under the hood sometimes, to see if one is stuck on. Find it's switch.

Interior lights go dim when head lights are turned on2000 escort

You have a faulty alternator, You need to get it checked or you will damage the new battery due to excess current drain.
It could be repairable or you may need a replacement alternator.

240z battery drain

Have you confirmed by going out to the car at night that none of the interior lights or lighted visor lights truck or hood lights are staying on? That is by far the most common cause of a battery drain. Other less common cause is a defective alternator rectifier diode Disconnect the battery overnight as well to confirm you don't have a shorted battery cell, that to will run the battery down, it is called an internal drain. Also make sure the top of the battery is clean of any acid.

My battery light is showing on the dashboard. So I replace the battery, alternator and starter. But the battery still on.I've gone thru two new batteries.Because the battery keeps on draining until its no...

Here is a procedure to isolate a battery drain I found elsewhere and has already proved very useful several times.

Remove negative battery cable from the battery. Using a 12-volt test light, hook one end to the negative battery post the other end to the negative battery cable you just disconnected. The test light will glow or “light” if there is a drain. If the “light or glow” is faint, that is probably normal draw for the clock or computer. If the “light or glow” is bright, then there is a large drain. That should be corrected. Now start removing and replacing the fuses one by one until the light goes out; that one will be the circuit with the drain. ***Remember to hold in the button in the door jam for the interior lights.***
