Remove timing belt cover and the timing belt. Line up the cam gear timing mark with the mark that is behind it. Then, set the crankshaft pulley timing mark to zero degrees or whatever the book says. Then re-install the timing belt and re-torque the timing belt tensioner to the proper torque. Turn the engine one full turn, with a breaker bar and socket. Re-check the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft. Re-install the timing belt cover and everything else you took off to get to the belt. Be sure to torque the crankshaft pulley bolt to specs.

I took my rodeo Isuzu out of 4w and now when I try driving down road it makes a windy sound

RTM , Read the manual yet. seem not
my guess, it car is PT 4wd, and not TOD fancy system.
so with PT (PART TIME 4WD)
4wd is for driving on ice. and dirt.
never on pavement ice free
or it damages the parts. winds up. when you turn like
this hear the damage ,increase, its saying why kill me./?
MUST BE YOUR FIRST PT 4WD?

THE KEY WORD IS PART.
ITS NOT AWD
NOT AT ALL.
Symptoms.
binding
sticks in gear
or baulks at going in to 4wd.
noise
transfer case cries in pain

this comment is not true if font locks are unlocked

but that is not 4wd, is it? .a1b1e992-7338-49a5-8900-5c0a3e3f182e.jpg

this is the trooper TOD (on left)
id bet your car is PT ,part time 4wd
you need to be on ice,
and i bet you are NOT. am I right/.
try reading your operators guide,
all warnings on this post are THERE.
this car drives same was as all PT jeeps.
same way, and same rules.

Isuzu rodeo 2000, LS, anti-theft alarm needs to be reset

This has to do with the Auto's Computer system and should ONLY be done by a Factory Rep who knows what he/she are doing. not a home mechanic chore!!

Clearing codes for transfer case

There is a simple way really of doing it, you can buy a code reader at auto zone or leave the battery disconnected from the vehicle for about a day. The power storage unit in the ecu will run out and reboot basically. There usually about 150.00 but you can dump the code all day long but if the problem comes up again, the code and check engine light will come back on again.
