Did you check the HL fuses? x2
are both dead? or just one?
Highs work , right,?
would you like to guess, ?
or test? have a volt meter, and a schematic.?
DRL or non DRL system? (daylight running lamps).
2 systems, DRL is mostly in CANADA but no always,
when did they both last work, dont know, or last week>???
if dont know, why not test the lamps to see if they are good
using any 12vdc battery over 5amp current.
or use and OHm meter on the filaments, for lows. 0 ohms good
infinity bad.
to go father, we need what type HL system is on car.
DLR or not. DLR love to fail. for sure.

SOURCE: Can Geo Metro parts be used to fix a Chevrolet Metro?

The hood will be the same, but the bumper will be different: the Geo Metro had its turn signals in the bumper and the Chevy Metro had them in with the headlights. The bumpers also look different, however their mounts may be the same. If your sister wants fer car to look the same you should find a bumper from a 1998-2001 Chevy Metro.

SOURCE: install anti rattle clips 97 Geo Metro

Disk brake parts, otherwise known as pad springs. They're on there from the factory. Unless someone was drunk at work again, then the caliper comes off just like changing the pads and the clips go in first, then the pads snap in and caliper goes back on.

SOURCE: Adjusting the headlights on a '97 Geo Prizm

on each headlamp assembly, there will be either one or two plastic nuts that you can turn.

If you only have one nut on each, that will adjust the vertical aim of the headlights.

If you have two nuts on each, one will adjust the vertical and the other will adjust the horizontal.

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

SOURCE: Turn signals dont work 97 Geo Metro

There is probably something shorting the front turn signal wires; the car is supposed to turn the signal light circut on and leave it on if it detects a burned out light bulb. The flashers, however, are supposed to work normally no matter what happens.
Hope this helps!
