You'll need at minimum to replace the distributor with an older compatible mechanical / vacuum advance and associated rewire. Then maybe... likely some idd.iot light issues but should be able to start/run and get you down the road.
First you will need a helper to remove the hood then locate all bolts mounting the fender to the cab of the car there are many of them! You will need to remove the lights and disconnect the wires to the turn lamps! Being cautious so you don't break any wires!
By now the blower motor should have been replaced a few times so hopefully it will be less hard. Disconnect the orange power wire at the rear of the right hood hinge and the black ground from the upper cowl. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. There should be an access panel in the fender. Remove it and you should see your blower motor. Remove the 4 motor mounting screws and disconnect the cooler tube from the motor. slide the motor and wheel assemby out the acess hole.
Hope this helps.
How do I remove the front pulley assembly from the crankshaft extension on the front of a 24 valve OHC Ford Taurus engine.\r\nThe pulley has an integral bearing and nut assembly along with the mounting bracket which I have loose. It will not clear the extension shaft on the front of the crankshaft. The face of the pulley is against the fender wall.
HI, make sure you look closely behind the bumper, the mounting brackets and reinforcement are designed to absorb the impact so a lot of time they are damaged also. Look where the headlight assembly mounts and the radiator mounts, this is called the core support. It is made out of fiberglass and is very acceptable to cracking and breaking. If it is cracked there are a lot of mechanical parts attached to it and quite the job to replace. Good luck
Try a new antenna temporarily--just hold the mast base in your hand. Water can enter the antenna cable from outside which shorts it out. Hope this helps!
Check the solenoid which I believe is mounted on the passenger side fender, near the battery. It should have connections for 4 wires on it, 2 mounting bolts, about $15- $20 part, easy to replace. Let me know how you make out.
