Drive car for 20 miles stop and shut it off and try to start the car and willnot start unless you let it sit for and hour ?

The engine has an electronic module where the spark plug wires connect to. Replace this and you will see the difference. Once this module heats up it will malfunction. After cooling down the car will start up again. hope this helps.

should be 95 octane try that first ,because it will cause pre detonation which could be the problem

SOURCE: Check engine light intermittently flashing, car jerking.

Could be fuel or electrical related. Since you may not know the history, this may take a while.
Any amount of smoke from exhaust? White, Blue, Black?
Start with most obvious and inexpensive:
1. Fuel filer clogged (replace fuel filter).
2. Could be the ECM (Electronic Control Module). It controls the ignition spark timing.
A few other things... consider other expert solutions...
