2003 Hyundai Accent clutch slave cylinder problem

I am changing the clutch slave cylinder on a 2003 Hyundai Accent and a small spring with a small cap with a hole in it, came out of either the bolt with a hole in it that attaches the line from the master cylinder. Or out of the body of the slave cylinder. My question is which way does the cap point?

this spring and cap is located in the banjo securing bolt that secures the hydraulic line to slave cylinder also inside the slave cyl is a larger spring which fits behind the piston and seal usual fitment on auto/hydrostatic adjustment cyls

Dear friend-the spring and valve came from the back where the bolt goes in . it is a compensating valve.you put it back valve first then spring or you can leave it out.it makes no differense

Will the clutch plate out of a 1998 Hyundai Accent fit in a 2005 Hyundai Accent? As well as the Slave cylinder?

go to a spares shop and see if the part numbers are the same
I feel that it will be the same but due to the vagaries of engineering you have to check first
are you positive that it is the clutch as a faulty master cylinder will cause the plate slip giving the same indication as a failing clutch

How to bleed the clutch on a 2002 hyundai accent

its the same process as bleeding brakes- except you pump the clutch pedal and loosen the clutch slave cylinder located by the front motor mount instead of a brake slave cylinder.

what i do is just loosen the slave cylinder bleeder screw and let it all run dry. then disconnect the reservoir from the master cylinder and clean it out with brake cleaner because all that black junk rests in the bottom of that. theres still more in the line, so reattach the reservoir and fill it up. let it bleed all the way back down the line and proceed to pump and bleed the system. if you know how to bleed brakes it should be a piece of cake.

Manual. Clutch pedal very soft. Sometimes pedal stays down. Unable to change gears until engine stalls or is turned off. Worse in very cold weather. Fluid level OK.

the master cylinder that operates both the clutch and brakes is either bad or needs bled,or could be leak in either brakes or clutch slave cylinder

02 accent slave cylinder leak and gear grind

Does the car want to pull when sitting still in gear with your foot on the clutch? If so, I would say that your clutch is not fully engaging and could be the cause of your grinding when changing gears. If not then I would think the clutch is operating fully and the synchros are worn and need replaced. But either way, with metalic fluid being in the slave cylinder dust boot, the slave cylinder needs changed.

Why clutch in Hyundai Accent 2001. Not disengaging

Your clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder is bad. The slave is cheaper and easier to replace - I would replace it first.

2002 Hyundai Accent won't go into gear.

Probably the arm that holds the rtelease bearing in the bell housing has slipped out of place. Get someone to depress the clutch while you check the arm is not loose. If the cylinders are working then its most likely the arm is disconected. If you are lucky you may get it put back in place by looking through the inspection hole but most likely you will have to seperate the engine and gearbox. Sorry I havent better news for you.
