How to drain bad gas out ofa 2002 cadillac with out dropping the tank

remove the cam washer to remove the float and pump assembly
reverse these procedures to re install

To drain it you can get a hand held transfer pump at a local auto parts store for pretty cheap.Once you have it drained take off the filler door assembly and take out the screw that holds the bracket that holds the filler pipe to the body.Jack your car up and support it with jack stands.Take the ground cable off of the battery.Now if you can get to the hoses and connectors take the hoses off and disconnect the connectors.Take a transmission jack or something equivalent to that and place it under the tank to support it.Now take the 2 bands that hold the tank in place off.Now when you lower the tank do it very slowly just in case a hose or connector is still attached.To put it back in just do the reverse.Its not to difficult if the tank is empty.

The fuel filter is located on the drivers side of the car about halfway between the front and back wheel. Look just underneath the doors and follow the fuel line until you run into the filter.

You just need a couple of crescent wrenches to remove it. While you have the fuel filter off, turn the ignition on but dont crank the car then have a look to see if any fuel sprayed out.
Put a rubber hose over the end going into some kind of container if you want to be neat about it. Just to be sure the fuel pump is working.

indicator,so no & only Ford Products have a fuel
safety shut off switch

You would need to use a syphon hose or pump like you would use for a boat or RV.
