How to change a toyato carina 212 ac filter - 1994 Toyota Corolla

Dang... Clean the throttle body/carburetor. Inside of it. Also the idle air control motor. Replace the air filter if dirty. You checked the wire for the coolant senor. Was it less then 5 Ohm's resistance? It is not the ECM or the sensor. Since it works OK after it gets warm. Do you use E85 fuel? Don't when it is below 40 degrees fareinhieght.

Worn out & blocked Exhaust Converter

That would be about 80% of the possible reason
There may be others as well (multiple problems)

guessing-- while throwing parts at it

I would hope you did not pay for that lack of
diagnostic whatever-- to find a problem

it could be torque converter or the clutch in the transmission are slipping or the oil filter in the transmission is clogged up try changing the oil and clean the filter if that don't help then u wil have to overhaul it

The 2008 Camry's with the 2.4L I4 require 4.5 quarts of new 0W-20 or 5W-20 oil with a filter change

• Your fuel filter will be in the engine bay.
• Drivers side.
• Towards the back of the engine.
• Simple wrenches take the lines off.
• Take the gas cap off first and wear eye protection always just in case.

Variable valve timing (vvt-i) works with oil pressure, if your oil is dirty or low it would set this code, if somebody did a big engine job and use too much silicon base gasket that gasket can travel all the way to oct filter and clog it, starving the vvt gear.


solution check the oil level and condition
Low put some to the right level.
dirty and heavy do a couple oil changes, code still there, ask your mechanic to clean the oct filter and check the vvt actuator for debris .

Hi! Mine one is Ti Carina 1997. It was having vibration while in idle mode. The RPM was going up and down between 600 to 800. I changed the injectors, spark plug cable and even the distributor. Lastly, i found one of the AC vacuuam cable was faulty. Just change the cables to have a dignosis. If problem is not solved, then you gotta check your Engine's Head whether the components are rotating freely or not. A jam in head can lead to such kind of vibration, specially with A/C on as the engine has to spend more power to move the rotating components inside the head.

Clean the injectors, (professionaly) change the fuel filter, if doesen't work check fault codes-could nbe maf sensor (on the air cleaener.
