Lost a wheel balance weight, or there is a wad of dried mud or frozen ice on the wheel causing an unbalance. Have the wheel balance checked.

SOURCE: My 03 Wrangler shakes only at 45 mph

My Death Wobble started immediately after I installed a set of Coil Spring Spacers (to lift 1.75 inches). Turned out, the DW was because while changing the height, I also lowered the CASTER angle in the front end. So, to fix it, I could have purchased a set of eccentric bolts for $50+. Instead I went out and purchased a piece of 1.5 inch flat bar for $10 from OSH. I cut out 4 1.5 inch squares. Then i drilled 7/16 inch holes centerline, but close to one side (in exactly the same place) on all for squares. I then removed the lower control arm bolts, nuts and washers. I installed these square offset washers I made so the front axle would be pushed forward (to increase the Caster angle). The toe setting changed a bit, so I reset them to about 1/8 inch toe in. After driving my Jeep, I noticed there is no more DW. The steering wheel was off center, but after 3 attempts, I have that perfectly centered. I have every intension of having the alignment checked, but not till after I find the new tires I want. If anyone is interested, I can draw out and photograph the cure and send it to you. My e-mail is bb62471(at)yahoo(dot)com.

SOURCE: While driving when i get up to or close to 55 mph,

a few possibilities:

tire out of round / bent rim, out of balance tires.

there is a suspension component in the front called the steering dampener, it can also be called a track bar. if this has gone bad, it can cause i violent shake under the right conditions.

good luck!

1989 honda prelude si. Automatic, shakes real bad when stopped.has no power, pedal to floor barely goes over 30 mph. Smells of fuel,i removed the cat now car, starts at least, but still wants to die and rough...

If the shaking has been progressively getting worse i would start by checking the engine and transmission mounts for rips or tears. Smelling fuel and major loss of power would suggest that you have a fuel leak somewhere. The sending unit its self is a culprit that can be hard to locate so if in doubt check it as well.

At around 25 0r 30 mph my truck starts shaking really bad. almost like my tires are turning in and out. what could cause this?

Check to see if you do not hava a buckled wheel or a badly loose wheel bearing. Jack up the front wheels and spin and shake them. There should not be any play or wheels running out of true.
Have the whole front suspension checked out, it could be any one or a number of things contributing to the shaking.

98 mazda millenia shaking front end at 40 mph?? any clues??

try the simple solution first put your front tires on back and back tires on front. check your air pressure then take it for a drive and see if any thing has changed. if so you probably have a badly worn tire. if no change have someone move the steering wheel back and forth wyle you are under the fornt of the car (dont forget to chalk the wheels) and see if any of your steering components are loose/moving. if nothing is loose and your tires are good try to bounce the front end. if you can really get the front of the car going up and down pretty easy you havce bad struts/shocks.
