SOURCE: Drivers side blend door actuator not working

Hello: I have bad news for you, if you run the actuator without it connected to the door the actuator is ruined, it will have to be replaced. After replacement the system has to have the doors (actuators re-calibrated.) re-calibrated. This is done with a Tech 2, A GM special tool.

SOURCE: How many hvac blend door actuators are there in a

I'm having the same problem with my 00 GMC Sierra. If you do NOT have dual zone climate control, it's just to the passenger side of the transmission hump under the hush panel underneath the dash. 3 screws take off the hush panel, two take off the actuator. One screw on the hush panel is a pain in the **** to get out. I'm still trying to figure out if the "upper" or "lower" is the proper fit for it. If you have dual zone, then one is under the passenger side, and the other is under the driver side. Hope this helps!

I have 2001 Chevy express. 20 amp keeps blowing even when the blower was disconnected and the resistor was disconnected?

The HEATER/AC fuse that I believe you are describing doesn't provide power to the blower or the resistor. It supplies power the the mode selector in the control head and power to the blend door actuator. I believe checking these two items will be more helpful in diagnosing your problem.

Replacing blend door actuator on chevy express van

The actuator is probably way up under the dash and impossible to see until you remove AC pipes or glove box. Check shop manual if possible.

No heat Heater core is hot

If heater core is getting coolant circulating through it then you may have a temp blend door, or blend door actuator not working properly. The blend door is located in the air box under the dash, and the actuator is located on the air box. You may be able to visually check the operation while turning the temp knob, by locating the coresponding actuator on the air box and monitoring the movement. If it is moving ok and still no heat then the blend door, or lever is broken, which will require removal of the dash.
