Hello,
first thing is to check all your fuses and make sure that they are all good? the next thing is to check if you are getting tachometer signal as you turn over the engine? if you are not getting tach signal the you should change the (crank sensor) in order to make the engine gets spark and the fuel pump to operate. if that does not work then you have a wiring problem and or possibly a bad ignition switch or computer malfunction.

SOURCE: 2004 gmc canyon fan moter for ac dont work

There is a fuse I would check first if you haven't tried that yet. They had problems with the switches in some of those vehicles. If you could take the control out and unpug then reattach the plug it may start working meaning the switch is bad.
You may have a bad fan motor. Do you have a test light to check for voltage at the motor itself?
Lastly, there is a resistor set that changes from low to high that may have one or more resistors burned out.

SOURCE: GMC not starting first try. replaced starter.

Yes on the fuel pump, sounds like the system is bleeding off the fuel pressure, could also be the regulator.

Check your ECM fuse. There should be 2 fuses for your ECM. It's the ECM that controls the function of the fuel pump. Good luck friend and it's also common for the wire harness from the frame to the fuel pump to go bad due to corrosion from the bad weather we get in the winter and rainy spring and fall.

With the ignition key turned on without trying to start the engine you should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds. That is how its primed to start. Upon starting the oil pressure reaches normal operations & the prime switch will cut off by the signal from the computer. Thus the engine still needs fuel to run so the computer switches on the fuel pump relay to provide the fuel to the engine. The prime switch is intergrated with the oil pressure switch. If you do not hear the fuel pump upon having the key on replace the oil pressure sensor

Have a 04 chevy venture van with158553 miles on it i replace spark plugs fuel pump and fuel filter and still not getting power to fuel pump and i replaced my fuses and relays

Make sure battery has a full charge. Usually, with engine cranking, I want to visually check for spark at the plugs, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, also, check fuel injector pulse. If I'm missing all three, I want to check for rpm signal. That signal comes from crank sensor. Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction. Can you check for applicable trouble codes? When testing only crank the starter motor for a few seconds at a time, let it cool off a little.
If only one component has a problem, then we will check voltage and ground for that component. If you want a fuel pump wiring diagram, I will post it.

GMC Canyon, computer shot.. cost?

You can to the Salvage Yard for a new computer, but your going to have to get it reprogram to your ignition keys, so the Passlock will start the engine. Before you go through all of that. recheck every thing, it could be your crank sensor or your ICM faulty causing your engine to shut down. Keep me posted and let me know what DTC codes you have. Note: a faulty fuel pump or dirty fuel filter will not set a DTC code. You may have a dirty fuel filter or faulty fuel pump or faulty fuel pump wire harness or fuel pump relay.

I have po300 and po506 on my canyon code cleared and resets after a while

From http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/
The P0300 is a misfire and P0506 indicates low RPM at idle.

A misfire can be caused by poor ignition (spark plug, plug wire, coil, ignition module/engine control module).
OR
Poor air/fuel (air filter, fuel injector, fuel pressure, fuel filter, fuel pump, bad gas, or engine control module).

Check your maintenance requirements and see if any of these items are due for replacement first.
