This abbreviation on the Camaro usually means "Courtesy/Clock fuse...the owners manual also has an illustration with definitions...your Z-28 is worth having an owners manual...hope this helps.
as it is the basic 305 block the differences may be fuel injection over carburettor which may require sensor attachments but basically the engine should just slot in place.
If you're doing it yourself make sure to buy a gauge with the freon and just follow the gauge and keep filling until it's in the green lines. If it's completely empty one large can should do the trick
If I remember correctly, there were two noses for those starters, either should work as the difference was that on one both bolts were long, the other used a long and short one. The one thing that may be missing there is that both starters used a front support bracket that either fastened to the case or to one long bolt that holds the starter together that had a short threaded extension on it. the other end of the bracket attaches to the engine block. Under load, that bracket keeps the starter from trying to tilt up and break. Another thing that can break the nose is an ignition cross-fire. that can shock the housing and also give you that problem. Make sure the ignition wires are good as well as the cap and rotor.
It is illegal to dispense freon, unless you are licensed; however, if the system has been converted to R-134 then:
1. Purchase the refrigerant from AutoZone and "borrow" the vacuum pump and the manifold (guages) free.
2. Evacuate the system (read directions) and verify that the vacuum will hold.
3. Charge system through th emanifold.
4. The compressor will start when enough refrigerant pressure is present.
