1989 Toyota pickup had the nearly bullitt proof 22R w/ the exception of timing chains and head gaskets but like any good engine there are a wide variety of after market parts available and yes you can turbocharge it not w/ Volvo parts though. Look for the 22R-TE good for 173hp in stock form. All you'll need is basic automotive experience and very deep pockets. $$$$ try lcengineering.com expensive but worth a look

The oxygen sensor has to be somewhere between the head and the catalytic converter.
In fact, some vehicles have one right before and right after the catalytic converter, especially in CA.

HI I have an 89 supra with a blown 3ltr turbo I would like to know if the 1jz twin turbo will fit on my 5 speed and will my inter cooler work with it do i need different engine mounts

yes the tranny will work and you need the 1j engine mounts as they are different. the 7mgte mounts will not allow the exhaust manifold to fit with the down pipe. your intercooler will work fine although i recommend replacement since you loose pressure if this is an original unit. hope this helps. please rate.

How do you remove a turbo on a toyaota rav 4?

Turbo's are attatched to the exhaust, coming out of the exhaust manifold in the engine bay, regardless of whether it is a diesel or
gasoline engine. There is a oil hose attatched, usually, and about
2 or 4 bolts holding the round unit onto the exhaust system. Good
luck. They are about a few thousand $$$, so be careful.

Will a 95 GT4 s/s exhaust fit 97 GT 2.0 st2o2

I think probably not as the 205's exhaust has to negotiate a rear diff that the 202 doesn't have. Also, the output from the GT-four's turbo is in a different position to the manifold on the 202.

Does my 2002 S80 Volvo have turbo or not?

is this a t6? if so yes. turbocharged engines have more horsepower than naturally asprirated engines, a turbo charger works like a supercharger by forcing more air into the intake, while a super charger is usually belt driven a turbocharger is exhaust driven, it will be located in the exhaust pipe or exhaust manifold and is turned by exhaust gases passing thu with the opposite side connected to the air intake pipeing, some have the intake air piped thru a intercooler which is mounted in front of the radiator(cooler air is more horsepower)
type 2002 s80 volvo in your search bar and you can find a ton of info

4 cly 98 dodge caravan

Are you sure its the exhaust manifold? I thought so on mine, but turned out to be the crossover pipe. If so, the crossover is only available from dealer and is ~$550. When removing old pipe, bolts are very difficult to get to, and some are only removable from one side (they are studs). I found the site below has excellent instructions with diagrams. Important! Before installing, ensure the bolts fit through the holes in the new part (mine did not).

S70 GLT head replacement

the easiest way to remove the head is to completely remove the exhaust manifold from the engine and turbo assy. you CAN just unbolt it from the engine , but it takes a good bit of wiggling to get it off if you are leaving thre manifold in the car
