that will not cause a no start you need to look at vehicle manual to determine your vehicles compression ,what caused you to check compression for a no start?
If its still leaking from the pan gasket then replace the pan and also check if the PCV positive crank case valve is NOT blocked as there could be lot of pressure building up in the engine.

Could be your oil pressure switch is bad also could be depending on the mileage worn oil pump.What weight of oil are you running if it is a diesel you need 15w40 or equivalant.Try running a heavier weight oil.
