I have a 2003 venture i can open and close the drivers side door by hand but whei i use the power the door will almost close and then reopen and when it is closed it will not open with power unless i pull the handle

open the handle like you are trying to open the door, then get a screwdriver, and flip the latch back to open. It is stuck in the shut position. Hurry before it rains.

It sounds as though one of the proximity sensors is faulty. Also try giving the tracks for the door a good shot of white spray lithium grease. The door may be binding enough so that the emergency reverse is kicking in.

My 2005 Equinox just had the same problem on the rear passanger door. My husband took a heat gun to the latch about 10 minutes ago, and now the door latches.
