Hyundai Accent stalls and won't restart for 15 - 30 minutes.

My Accent will stall after running for up to 30 - 45 minutes, but will then suddenly die. If I crank the starter it feels like I'm out of gas, but if I wait for 15 - 30 minutes it will start just fine. Any ideas?

Check to see if you have fuel pressure after it dies. fuel pump could be getting hot and shutting off.

2002 hyundai accent stops running after warming up

I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything
got it from www.reliable-store.com

My 1999 Hyundai Accent stalls. After few minutes of driving, the car stops and after 15 minutes it re-starts. What is the problem?

When your driving say about 20 or 30 minutes, the car, no matter what, just dies. If the engine cools down, it will start and run just fine, for about another 20 or so minutes, and same thing? Change the coil. its bad, it over heats, and pow. when it cools, works great. Had that happen to me. hope this is the problem

My 2002 hyundai accent 1.5 liters will stall at a stop sign or red light. it won't restart for at least 15 minutes, then die out about a half mile down the road (on a bad day). the car sounds fine when...

This sounds like an O2 sensor problem. These sensors regulate the oxygen into the engine, when they go bad, the engine can't breathe and therefore the car will not function right. If there is no oxygen, internal combustion can be a difficult task for a car. I would see if you could get those sensors replaced and you might be back in business. Good luck.

Hyundai accent stops running after heats up

I had the exact smae problem and threw aaway a ton of money on bad "guesses" at what was wrong. The actual fix was replacing the crank shaft position sensor for 50 or 60 bucks. Swapped out bad for good and cars has run great every day since.
