Buick rendevous 2002, 23,000 original miles. sat for about 5 years outside. drove fine first day. 2nd day i drove 10 feet and all oil poured out. it was coming out oil sensor. we replaced oil sensor and oil, turned it on, and 1 minute later, all oil poured out again somewhere around oil pump. Then we noticed seal on oil filter was blown out a little bit. so we replaced the seal and the oil, turned it on again, and immediately all oil poured out again and seal came out a little bit again.
The oil pump pressure relief valve is stuck closed. Excessive oil pressure is forcing seal out. That seal is probably in the oil pump body. . I would replace the oil pump. Internal rust is present in the bore and piston of the relief valve and would be difficult to free up. High oil pressure could damage the rear crank seal resulting in removal of the engine to repair. To test my theory, install a mechanical oil pressure gauge into the engine in place of the oil pressure sending unit. Pressure should not exceed 50 PSI on the gauge. Disconnect ignition coil so the engine does not try to run during test. Test using the starter to roll the engine. Oil pressure will build just by rolling the engine
Yea , and what would you like to know ? After sitting five years the seals are all no good ! Have the engine pulled an resealed ! Has the same gas been in as long too ? Clean fuel system too . Have engine checked too , ring's have a Tendency to collapse ! You may drive a couple hundred without a problem , but sooner ,rather then later the front seal , rear seal , transmission seales will leak .

You check the coils with a ohm meter. They should 6-8 thousand ohms at the spark plug connections. One lead to one spark plug connection and the other lead to the other . It's not likely a coil for stalling. If coil , Your car can still run on four cylinders. It can be a ignition module. It fails when it gets extremely hot. The module is located under the coils.

you need to make sure all of the sensors are plug in the transmission and all of the vaccum lines are not loose under the hood and no holes are damage and you made have to adjust the bands in the transmission but if you have done all of this and the problem is still the same here is a place that sells only GM-parts only its schram auto & truck parts # 1800-292-1032

Use your mode and set buttons on the dash, located to the left of the steering column.
Use the mode button to find the "oil life" display on the DIC, use the set button to return the oil life to 100%.
Good luck, let me know.

Hey I have a 1993 Buick roadmaster also. Had exact same problem. It turned out to be the fuel pump. It was going bad and would work fine then cut off and then back on. Took me 6 months to figure it out. Every time I took it to the mechanic it would work just fine so I put a full tank of gas in it and told him to drive it and it died after a few days. Was a real headach. Hope this helps.
