It should just slide out. You might have to use a little bit of force

How to stop my mirror from shaking in my car?

I am working on the same problem. Hardware store guy said to get some rearview mirror adhesive and put a few drops all around where it goes onto the windshield mount and hold it steady until it sets up. Have not tried that yet.

Reattach rearview mirror to windshield

Get a rear view mirror adhesive kit at your local auto parts store. It will have the instructions on how to apply the mirror back on windsheild with the adhesive. I hope this helps!

How do I attach a review mirror for a 1994 thunderbird lx

Go to an auto parts store and buy rearview mirror adhesive. Your rearview mirror will separate from the small mounting piece that adheres to the windshield. Clean off the glass where it will sit. Follow the directions on the adhesive package and install the mount on the windshield. Once it dries, install the mirror on the mount. Rearview mirror adhesive is one of the most powerful adhesives on the market. Don't use anything but rearview mirror adhesive or the mirror will not hold.

Rearview mirror fell off windshield while car was parked unused for a week

You can buy a special bonding adhesive at a parts store to fix this. Usually there is a piece that the mirror attaches to, which is glued to the windshield. You will need to follow the instructions on the bonding adhesive, which will include cleaning the area where you will attach the mirror, and usually you separate the base mount from the mirror, glue it, hold in place with pressure for about 1 minute, reattach mirror, and you will be good to go.

Rearview Mirror Adhesive... Mirror is no longer attached to the mirror. Rearview Mirror kit from Advanced Auto Parts didnt work.

The product does work fine, you can try it again. Make absolutely sure that all of the old adhesive has been removed, I use a new, sharp razor to remove the old stuff on both surfaces. Be sure NOT to touch either of the clean areas with your fingers. If you do, take acetone and wipe that part clean. follow the directions and good luck.

Rearview mirror fell off windshield! Not broken...

the mirror should simply slide over the metal mount (button) that is glued to the window.

loosen the set screw on the mirror mount...

hold the rear view mirror mount on the glass just above the metal mount (wide end of plastic opening facing down)

slide it into place...
secure it by tightening down set screw you loosened earlier.
