2006 volvo s40 tiptronic gear recently stopped working before it used to get stuck when i shift or i have to shift 3 to 4 times for the gear to shift up or down but now its not working

The swich that you press when you want to change the gear mode("p" to "d" ) remain jam very coomon for an s40 spary silicone spary on it to remove dirt from there

Yes that is correct. The only filter is inside the fuel tank, and as I recall its a non exchangeable filter. It just gets replaced with the fuel pump when it goes bad

The timing marks on the cam gears align with the timing marks in the rear timing cover. The timing mark on the crank gear aligns with the timing mark on the oil pump assembly.
The tensioner is set by rotating the tensioner clockwise until the holes in the tabs on the left side of the tensioner are aligned, then tighten the center bolt.
