2003 subaru baja with new engine won't start

Got the engine to fire except it comes out the intake.  don't know how the timing is off.  got good spark and fuel.   the intake manifold, all the wiring, and the crankshaft pulley have been changed over from the old engine onto the new one.  the only components that haven't been put on the new engine are the camshaft pulley(driverside) and the sensor behind it.  how is the valve timing off?

did reset timing when i replaced crankshaft pulley. engines fires but won't start seems like it fires a little early or late because air is pushed back out the intake manifold.

If you changed the cam pulley then you need to rest the timing

Where is 2005 subaru baja fuel filter?

Hello, your vehicle may not be equipped with a serviceable fuel filter, Subaru started to use lifetime in-tank fuel filters in 2004. But, there is an easy way to check, start by opening your hood and walking over the drivers' side front fender. I don't know how much you know about cars so it's easier for me to treat all problems as if the owner knows nothing, If this is not true for you please forgive me. If you look at the engine the first item you will most likely notice is the intake manifold which looks like a grey/silver aluminum 4 legged spider like thing. If you look at the side closest to you, there will be 3 metal tubes/lines coming up from in between the 2 legs of the intake. They will turn 90 degrees towards you and connect into three rubber lines that curve around and point towards the drivers' seat. The fuel filter will be there receiving the upper most line while the other 2 bypass it. It will be almost the size of a can of soup and will be either silver or black. If you don't have one there will be blue sleeves on the the line that goes to a small, almost flying saucer looking fuel pressure regulator which is black. I hope this info helps...(subyguru)...
