Replace the ignition switch.You can replace the key tumbler ignition.It mostly is faulty and giving u this problem.

This is common issue you have to replace window gusset that the mirror is monted to

turn ignition switch to on ,shift trans into neutral,i'm assuming this is a baja,remove 2 screws under lid of center console cover lift this piece out of the way now remove bezel surrounding shifter,remove ashtray,above ashtray are 2 screws holding ashtray frame in place remove those now bezel surrounding radio can be removed and now you can remove cigar lighter good luck

Check the injectors,they are on the engine and will seep,and it could be the smell from the repair is not gone yet

I was able to locate an owners manual for the vehicle. The large plastic weatherguard protecting the headlight bulb connections needs to be rotated CCW about 90 degrees, and removed to provide access to the bulbs. Then remove the center connection for the low beam and release the spring clip retainer to release the low beam bulb. Replace with new bulb and reconnect/reinstall retainer clip, center connector wire, and weatherguard. Note that this is the procedure for the Turbo Baja...non-Turbo model is different.
