Fix vacum leak

Problem with vent blower strength when on heat. No matter if I adjust the blower up or down it sounds like it's working, but no extra heated air comes out. If I turn the temp down to 60 it blows out of the vents fine. We replaced the thermostat, but I guess that wasn't it. Any ideas?

SOURCE: 1997 buick lesabre HEATER PROBLEMS The fan

This could be several things. First I would check that the thermostat is not stuck open. This will condition will make the car run cold when it is cold outside.

If this is not the case........and I'm assuming you've already checked that the antifreeze is full, make sure that the heater valve is working. If it is frozen in place then it won't move and won't allow the warm water to circulate through the heater core.

I'm basing my answers on a standard Lesabre. Yours may not have the standard climate control.

Sounds like bad blend doors. They are either vacume or electronically controlled. Do some google searches on it and watch some videos and you may be able to fix it yourself and save some $$$$

My blower motor works but is not blowing out the vents on dashboard, only vents by windshield and side vents but not from dash...how should this be fixed....some vacuum hose ??

You have a loss of vacuum from the engine, first check under the hood and make sure the vacuum storage tank is not damaged and leaking and it has vacuum in it when the engine is running. If all that is ok then move on to the line that goes inside the truck and verify it has vacuum.

2002 dodge stratus heat a/c /blower works but only blows out vents i cant change to anything else

the cable which switches the airflow direction is disconnected... either at the flap or behind the dash. If it is vacum controlled, then check for vacum leak.

2003 ford expedition blowinw out the defrost all the time

It does sound like a vacuum problem. Check vacuum hoses under the hood especially to vacuum reservoir cannister. Sounds like a hose is loose or leaking.

I'm guessing you lost the blower motor....there is a heavy gauge single wire by the trans fill tube that powers up the blower. The conection is usualy melted might be a red wire
