Try cleaning Spark plug,if already done then go to coil pack,or the single coil. If not that check for codes, and go from there. Sorry I can't do more. Peace. God bless.

I have a 2005 mistsubishi galant 4 cyl. It has a misfire at cylinder 4. what needs to be replaced? does it have plugs and wires?

yes start with your plugs and then the wires to see if it is the wire pull the cylinder 4 wire off and swap with another plug if it changes to another cylinder misfire then you know its the plug wire. hope this helps and good luck let me know if ya need more..

2003 Galant service eng light comes on, show random misfire. replaces plugs, wires, dist cap. did not solve issue. ck eng light keeps coming on. what is the next step?

Usually, a randon cylinder misfire is caused by the igntion coil. I did not see in your question where you replaced this.

Service engine light came on went to auto zone they tested machine said number 3 cylinder misfire does this car take spark plugs because i dont see how to install them

It's probably not the spark plug. I would check the coil and injector. these two are the main cause of a single cylinder misfire. ps if the car is running fine now(not missing out) I would have the code erased and wait to see if it came back on.

I have a 2003 mitsubishi galant ES 4 cylinder and have a check engine light message on i had the code read at auto zone and they told me the third cylinder is misfiring and when it idles it jumps around...

Misfire means you need spark plugs replaced. Or spark plug coils.

That's why the whole car starts shaking because its running basically on 3 cylinders and not 4 as supposed. There is no gas compression on the 3rd cylinder because once again the spark plug is "misfiring"

There also might be even a bigger problem which could be the distributor cap where the coils are connecting outside the engine.
once you fix the problem the check engine will turn off immediately

hope that helps.
