1989 Cutlass Supreme Won't Start, 3.1 v6

If i pour gas into the air intake , it runs fine till i stop pouring gas in, it won't start on its own, new fuel pump and fuel filter, fuel pressure is good, new computer, new crankshaft sensor, all the fuses and relays are good, all the wiring looks good i doubt if all the fuel injectors went bad all at once. so what else could it be?

The problem is the fuel injectors are not pulsing to deliver fuel, check to see if u have 12 volts to one side of the injector connectors, if not check the underhood fuses and the passenger fuse box, if that is it and it runs and blows the fuse again then u have a shorted engine wiring harness.. also buy a tool called a "Noid" (about $5) fuel injector tester, it plugs into the injector connector and blinks when the eng is cranked, if it doesn't blink this confirms that u have no injector pulse and no fuel delivery.

2000 kia sportage car won't run untill you pour gas in the intake then it will till the gas is used up

Sounds like your not getting fuel. Turn key on and listen by gas tank and see if you hear a buzz sound. if you don't you'll need to replace the fuel pump.

My 1985 grand Marquis won't start I can pour gas

Take the gas filter off. Should be located near the front of the carbeurator, take off the air cleaner and look for it, it takes 2 wrenches to take it off, a little gas may spill out but not much and replace it, however there is a strong possibility that he gas pump is out if the filter is fine. Hope this helps

you need to have the fuel pressure checked with a gage and volume as if its not at the spec the injectors won`t open to spray enough fuel.also you should check the injectors for proper voltages and ground as if these are not within specs then the injectors won`t work either

If it sat for 3 years the fuel may be in pretty tough shape. If he gasoline smells like a can of old varnish or turpentine then it may have gummed up either the fuel pump, injectors or both. I would start by testing the fuel pressure with a gauge first to see if it is actually pumping enough fuel to run the engine. If the fuel smells bad or your pump isn't working you may need to have the fuel tank removed and cleaned and the fuel lines flushed to get all the old gunky fuel out of them. Also check to be sure you actually have spark at the plugs so you'll know if the ignition system is still working.

YOUR BEST BET IS TO GO AHEAD AND REPLACE YOUR FUEL INJECTORS. BY POURING GAS IN TO YOUR INTAKE. YOU KNOW ITS GOT TO DO WITH YOUR FUEL SYSTEM. I TAKE IT YOUR CHECKING FURL PRESURE ON THE CHECK VALVE ON THE FUEL RAIL FOR THE INJECTORS. REPLCE THOSE AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD. JAKE.B
