Transmission "stutters" between 1st and 2nd 2008 outlook

Shouldn't cause any problems. If A isn't working you wouldn't have 1st or 2nd gear. It would want to start in third, then go to OD. Most newer cars will go in limp mode and be in 2nd. Have the codes read.

Hi,normaly the filter is behind the transmission sump undo sump take out filter and make shore the serfice on both serfices are clean before you put sump back together.

Check the transmission fluid level. If it's not up to full, fill it to the full point, but don't over fill. If this doesn't help, then it's time to take it to a professional. If you can find a transmission guy who will fix the problem instead of saying "oh you'll need a whole new transmission, I happen to be able to sell you a rebuilt one....". The guys who can fix the problem and not replace the whole things are fewer and fewer, now-a-days.

Your transmission has 3 shift rails...
1st - 2nd
3rd -4th
5th- Reverse

If your 1st and 2nd don't work , you have an internal transmission problem, such as a syncronizer, or similar fail... There is not much you can fix, without removeing the transmission.

What you need to check is the transmission release bearing because if there is a clearance on the release bearing you will encounter this problem and also check the transmission oil.

you may want to check to see if their is to much fluid in it,its along shoot but it does happen,see to much causes foaming of the fluid and it cant do its job.have u noted all engine conditions and any other condition when it acts up?good luck.

sounds very like twin mass fly wheel fault you will need to replace clutch along with fly wheel

i would check ur transmission shift solenoid
