This elaborates more on the code.
P0456 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak)
Description:
The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the complete evaporative emission (EVAP) control system for the presence of a very small fuel vapor leak. The system failure occurs when a fuel vapor leak from an opening as small as 0.508 mm (0.020 inch) is detected by the EVAP running loss monitor test.
Possible Causes:
• Very small holes or cuts in the fuel vapor hoses/tubes
• Loose fuel vapor hose/tube connections to the EVAP system components
• EVAP system component seals leaking. See the Possible Causes for DTC P0442
Diagnostic Aids:
Check for a missing fuel filler cap or the integrity of the cap.
Check for loose or damaged vapor hoses. Visually inspect the EVAP canister inlet port, CV solenoid filter, and canister vent hose assembly for contamination or debris.

SOURCE: Mustang GT 4.6 EVAP Canister Purge Valve Location?

You will need to remove the right front wheel & wheel well liner. The canister purge valve is behind the cover. It should have two tube going into the bottom and one on the side near the top.
You can fix it!

SOURCE: how remove 1966 Ford Mustang 200 cu.in 6-cyl. crankshaft pulley

Hi,
You can remove that center bolt easily with an impact gun. It has normal threads on it. An impact gun will prove to be an affordable tool that you will use again. You can get an electric one from Harbor Freight. They make the job of removing tough bolts much easier. If the engine is in the car, you might not have enough room. You can use a ratchet and if the engine is turning, you can hold the pulley with another tool sold at Harbor Freight called a rubber strap wrench.

Testimonial: "Will report again when the job is done. Thanks for this info: 1) Center bolt is normal thread 2) Tools can be pruchased at Harbor Freight"

DTC P0452 indicates EVAP Pressure Switch stuck closed. What does the code mean?

THE pcm RUNS LOTS OF EVAP tests
top cause , gas cap loose 10000 : 1 common like SUN is hot.
reset the DTC and drive. using scan tool for sure.
  1. Loose fuel gap
  2. Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor (almost never fails)
  3. Faulty wiring for the fuel tank pressure sensor
  4. Faulty purge control solenoid ( I just clean it) common !!!!!
  5. Clogged or damaged charcoal canister
  6. Vacuum leak
i remove #4 and clean it and flush it with walmart silicon spray, this silicon magic is super super slippery and can last years.
wd40 (old skool blue /yellow useless) use SILICON only.
even a new cap first
reset the code with scan tool,do not try to drive it off can take a month,(pain)
reset it.
if still fail, clean #4
the leak is real 99.% of the time. and cause big time simple.
cap bad
#4 valve hung up,. easy easy fix.
all valves here can be fixed with silicon spray,.

it means gas vapor vents leak.
assume easy fix not hard labor on smoke machine.
leave mr smoke to last chance garage act. and save a bundle.

06 Hyundai Elantra two codes one is a p0441 purge fault code and other is evap large leak I can't figure out how to pass do i need to replace the purge valve

the large leak could be a loose tank cap
code p 0441 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) system--incorrect flow detected === causes ---hose /connection/s,-- intake leak--EVAP canister purge valve
probably need to replace the valve but test first for the large leak or cap loose fault as it may fix both

How do i fix code p1143 on 97 mustang

We are assumin gthat you are talking about DTC P1443 - Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault.

Best guess without pinpoint testing would be the purge flow sensor. This is the most common failure for this code but can be caused by anything that would limit flow across the sensor when flow is commanded by the PCM restricted cannister, stuck or plugged cannister vent solenoid,etc....

On the base model it is located in the purge line between the carbon cannister and the purge solenoid. See pic below for base model diagram(click HERE for zoom)...

2000 s10 4.3 6 cyl automatic. hesitates to hit 2nd gear. revs high with no power then eventually kicks in and is fine.

had same problem on 74crewcab the vacumn line was tee d into another giving low vacumn . when it did reach sufficent pressure the trans would shift but the engine rpm was very hjgh and result was it slammed the trans in gear. Inspect your vacumn hose from modulator to the intake manifold/carb itcould be leaking or some one may have rerouted by accident.it must have a vacum draw equal to manifold pressure to shift in time with the actual rpms of the engine hope this helps...that it shifts at all makes me thinnk the modulator valve is working --just the vacumn line(s) arenot draw full manifold pressure
