The first thing you would do is put a diagnostic instrument on it to check which engine code is being listed.

you should be able to fix it look for a can near the fuel tank that has vacuum hoses coming out of it and you should be able to just buy the bad solenoid

Change the evap vent solenoid canister located near the master cylinder on the right side of the engine or your hoses may be cracked. Good luck!

You can generally find a vaccum leak by pressure testing the system. Most auto parts stores sell a vaccum tester relatively cheap. Or you can take it to a shop and they will pump your sytem full of a uv sensitive die and then use a black light to find the leak. If it says vaccum leak at engine on the vent solenoid then all you need is the schematic of your vaccum system to find the solenoid and you should find your leak theoretically.

My 06 saturn ion check engine light is on with codes p0300 p1174 and idle roughly when stopped . Could it be the o2 sensor?

There is a technical service bulletin that states the correct procedure to repair this issue is to replace the injectors with updated units AND reprogram the pcm for the new injectors.

Well the P0300 code has nothing to do with your O2 sensors just a heads up.

P0300: Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

When a misfire occurs, engine speed will fluctuate. If the engine speed fluctuates enough to cause the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor (POS) signal to vary, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module (ECM) can determine that a misfire is occurring.

Causes:
- Improper spark plug
- Insufficient compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- The injector circuit is open or shorted
- Fuel injectors may be faulty
- Intake air leak
- The ignition signal circuit is open or shorted

Solutions:
- Perform Injector Service
- Replace Spark Plugs
- Replace Injectors
- Replace Ignition Coils

P0135: O2 Sensor Heated Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 1

The front heated oxygen sensor (or sensor 1) is placed into the exhaust manifold. It detects the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas compared to the outside air. The heated oxygen sensor 1 has a closed-end tube made of ceramic zirconia. The zirconia generates voltage from approximately 1V in richer conditions to 0V in leaner conditions. The heated oxygen sensor 1 signal is sent to the ECM. The ECM adjusts the injection pulse duration to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio. The ideal air-fuel ratio occurs near the radical change from 1V to 0V.

Causes:
- Harness or connectors (The sensor circuit is open or shorted)
- Front Heated oxygen sensor (Bank 1) may be faulty

Solutions:
Replacing the O2 Sensor 1 usually takes care of the problem

How did you read that code on your car? A 92 Accord is supposed to give you pre-OBD honda codes, which are all below 100. Please check the code again and re-post it.

NEED DRIVE CYCLE FOR 2004 CRV TO RESET CAT AND O2 MONOTOR

Here is the info

NOTE: The ignition key must not be on prior to the cold start otherwise the heated oxygen sensor diagnostic may not run.

1. As soon as the engine starts, idle the engine in drive for two and a half minutes with the A/C and rear defrost on. OBDII checks oxygen sensor heater circuits, air pump and EVAP purge.

2. Turn the A/C and rear defrost off, and accelerate to 55 mph at half throttle. OBDII checks for ignition misfire, fuel trim and canister purge.

3. Hold at a steady state speed of 55 mph for three minutes.

OBDII monitors EGR, air pump, O2 sensors and canister purge.

4. Decelerate (coast down) to 20 mph without braking or depressing the clutch. OBDII checks EGR and purge functions.

5. Accelerate back to 55 to 60 mph at half throttle. OBDII checks misfire, fuel trim and purge again.

6. Hold at a steady speed of 55 to 60 mph for five minutes.

OBDII monitors catalytic converter efficiency, misfire, EGR, fuel trim, oxygen sensors and purge functions.

7. Decelerate (coast down) to a stop without braking. OBDII makes a final check of EGR and canister purge.

U have to operate the engine at all kinds of diff speeds and drive modes, it is called a OBDII drive cycle, here is how u do one.

The Drive light flashes and the car loses power and sometimes won't start.

It is either your Vehicle Speed Sensor (easy to change) or your Automatic Transmission Computer (capacitors burn out on these boards, there is a fix for this too, the picture is at the bottom of this page). You need to diagnose by removing the lower right plastic kick panel on the passenger side. There you will find a blue plug. With the car OFF stick a paper clip, wire or stuff the plug with foil to make electrical connection so that the two terminals are touching. Then, turn the ignition to ON (not enough to start it though, just power it up). When you do this, count the blinks in the "D Light" or count your blinking Check Engine Light. Both are different but can refer to different things wrong with your car. A long blink is the first number and the short blinks that follow are the second number.
So imagine this as being 14 : ___ _ _ _ _

Below is a decoding chart:
