I have a 2005 Toyota Camry. The driver's side view mirror broke, and I wanted to know how to tell if the mirror is heated or not before buying a replacement. Can I replace it with a heated mirror if its not heated or vice versa?
Heated mirrors usually have a symbol on them -- a small diagram showing squigley heat lines.
If you don't see this, it's probably not heated. But when you take the mirror off, if it's heated it'll have wires connected to the back.
Yes, you can replace a heated mirror with non-heated -- just leave the wires tucked out of the way when you install the new mirror.
As the other said it will have wires on the back and most will have the wires in the door even if it is a non heated mirror
