SOURCE: 99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!

How do I change the ignition cylinder on a 97 Chevy c1500 if can't turn key to on/run.

You need to remove the steering wheel , turn signal control and in the steering column you will find a pin that holds the tumblers in place for the key switch. You can remove the pin and then remove the key tumbler and replace it. Go to You Tube and they have videos on just what you need to do to remove the steering wheel and etc. Hope this helps.

1996 chevy 1500 truck when i turn left turn signal on back up lights come on and when i turn the right turn signal on the emergency blinkers come on. The front blinkers work correct.

Hello: There are two things that could be dausing this: One is the board that holds the bulbs in the tail light assembly, it could be shorted internally. The other thing is on the rear right fender on the inside there is a electrical distribution box for the rear lights it also could be internally shorted, also the connectors to that box could be corroded and causing your problem. Hope this helps.
