Holden tigra roof won't close could this be the hydraulic pump..... where is the resevoir

look for a blown fuse or a bad relay or bad sensor. possibly the mechanism is in a mechanical bind .. i would go to youtube and search the issue to see if it's a common problem and if so there will be videos on fixing it ..

All wheel bearings are a press fit into the housing and some are also a press fit onto the shaft.

Few bearings are substantial enough to maintain the design shape and tolerances unless they are pressed into a close-fitting housing.

In many cases the application of a large hammer and suitable drifts or punches with a deal of care and skill can be sufficient for bearing removal but reassembly requires more sensible methods in order to avoid damage to the new bearings.

Don't know these cars, but I wonder if there's a safety switch that might have been triggered? Apparently, if you hold the boot shut whilst pressing the boot open button for a few seconds, the system will reset itself. Not tried, so can't verify....

You need to pump the hydraulics manually, to do this first sit on boot and press boot button for a few seconds without allowing the boot to open. Partially allow boot to open, manually push boot all the way open and closed a dozen or so times to manually pump hydraulics. I had same prob, this sounds extreme but does work and wont cost you a penny.

In the boot left hand side as i remember is the pump which is hydraulic behind a cover so check the oil level in this resevoir ,also use engine oil on the hinges not some silly spray as they wash out with the rain especiall that fish oil WD stuff

Why do you need to open it? You really can without the system having fluid in it and working.

Am I correct in assuming that you have an electric roof? I recently saw in my manual that there is a hydraulic lift that you can access from the trunk of the car. It looks like it is on the left side wall close to the opening. The following is taken directly from the manual:
"If the power system is not operating properly you can still close the roof by hand. 1. Remove protective cover and open luggage compartment lid. 2. Turn screw on hydraulic pump counterclockwise until it stops. 3. Close the luggage compartment lid. 4. Swing the top forward by grabbing it with both hands, lift and push it forward. 5. Lock roof in place. 6. Turn the screw on hydraulic pump clockwise until it stops. Use the same procedure in reverse order to open the power roof manually."
