Rather involved , Will require a full set of workshop tools including torque wrenches. I advise against it . But if you decide to go ahead buy a workshop manual and follow it to the last word.

Help! My 2005 Mercedes CLS350 auto is blowing white smoke on start up. There's a hint of blue smoke there too. It's not low on oil. 158km on clock. There seems to be more smoke in right side exhaust. Any...

Have your mechanic check the car for a leaking head gasket; in the early stages white smoke - coolant being burned - will show up; you would not see any leaks, as the leak would be INTERNAL; driving with a defective headgasket will for sure cause more severe damage to the engine!

Noise and smoke

More than likely your headgasket has blown or may be low on oil get it changed and see if you have the same problem and if so have someone do a compression test or head gasket test

MB E290 diesel. DTC P1403.Problem is with acceleration. This problem occured like this. About a year ago while driving i find out that acceleration is poor ant tachometer was going only antil 3000rpm....

Look for a green male to male vacuum damper on the vac line.
It look like a mini inline filter. Size is able 3/4" diameter X 1" It's tapping off the main vac line.
If your engine has high mileage then blow oil can enter the vac line.
The green vac damper can get gum up with oil vapor and keep vacuum control device from operate at the normal setting.
==== You can use 70% rubbing alcohol and water to back flush the green vac damper.
Make sure you let it air dry before re-install.
==== You should change primary and secondary fuel filters to rule out fuel related problem.
Inspect fuel hose and clamps to rule out air enter into the fuel system.
Check for leaks around the primer pump.

Headgasket is bad will it still overheat if thermostat is repleced

Yes, if it has a bad headgasket, the thermostat will not make any difference. On top of that, it's a really hard one to change on that car.

I own a 1990 190e Mercedes-Benz, after it has run for a little while, it starts to leak water on the passengers side, behind the heater, which leads to the car over-heating. How could I fix this?

This is your heater core leaking. One thing you can try is some of the stop leaks that the auto part stores sell. I would try "Liquid glass" as the heads on these are kind of delicate once overheated. This may also stop any other damage occuring(like leaking headgaskets). The only other fix is replacing the heater core.

Adjustable height head gasket, what does it mean?

Sorry, but there is no such thing. You sound like you are dealing with a common problem with that engine, which is the headgasket failure. No other way around this other than to remove the head (may as well rebuild it while you've gone that far), and install a new headgasket. Because most of these heads had been exposed to overheating, you should have the machine shop check for warpage and "adjust" by milling the surface height. Be prepared to spend approx 1800 to 2200 for this job including the machine shops' cost (600-800) to rework the head.

Presure is building and is building the seams on

could be a bad thermostat and if that was already changed it could be a headgasket. probably a headgasket if the car was recently overheated
