SOURCE: need to know how to replace the windshield wiper motor

First remove the wiper arms. Then remove the screws that hold the black plastic grill, you will see the motor. You will need then to disconnect the wiper arm transmission linkage from the motor, then remove the three bolts holding the motor on, dont't forget to disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.Install in reverse order.Good luck.

SOURCE: 2003 Chevy SuBurban The windshield wipers will not

It is actually a wiper control module that controls this. I have replaced many of them. It is the cover that is screwed to the wiper gear box. Remove both wiper arms. Remove the plastic cowl cover below the windshield that covers from side to side. Once inside you will see the wiper motor/transmission assy. Disconnect the electrical connector, and remove screws from cover, and replace it.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer Windshield Wiper problem.

As it turns out, there is a recall On 2002-2003 Chevy Trail Blazer's
Windshield Wiper/washer
NHTSA No. 04V046000
Recall Date: Feb, 4th, 2004
Call your dealer to see if this is still under the recall to be fixed.
RECALL: 2002 - 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer NHTSA Campaign Number: 04V046000 www.nhtsa.dot.gov
Manufacturer GENERAL MOTORS CORP. Recall Date: FEB 02, 2004 Potential Number Of Units Affected: 581394 Description VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER Summary CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES HAVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEMS THAT WILL NOT TURN ON, CEASE OPERATION WHILE IN USE, FAIL TO TURN OFF/ON BY THEMSELVES (MOISTURE SENSITIVE WIPER SYSTEM), OR HAVE CONTINUOUS WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP OPERATION BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF WATER WITHIN THE WIPER MODULES CAN EITHER CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT OR CAN LEAD TO THE CORROSION OF COMPONENTS WITHIN THE MODULE. Consequence DEPENDING ON THE OCCURRENCE AND WEATHER SITUATION, DRIVER VISIBILITY COULD BE REDUCED, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. Remedy DEALERS WILL COVER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MODULE VENT HOLE WITH A PATCH. ALSO, THE WIPER MOTOR, CIRCUIT BOARD, AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WILL BE INSPECTED TO SIGNS OF WATER INTRUSION AND/OR CORROSION AND BE REPLACED AS REQUIRED. THE RECALL BEGAN JULY 6, 2004. Windshield wipers on a Chevy 2005 trailblazer only works on high

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is an how to read one ? Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on wiper/ washer's . Click the search button then the blue link.

Windshield Wiper/Washer System Components
The windshield wiper/washer system consists of the following components:
• Windshield wiper/washer switch
• Windshield wiper motor
• Windshield washer pump
• Windshield washer relay
• Outside moisture sensor
• FRT WIPER 25A fuse
• W/S WASH 15A fuse
Windshield Wiper/Washer System Operation
Accessory voltage and ground is supplied to the windshield wiper motor and provides the power for operating the wiper motor and logic power to the wiper motor module. The WASH, MIST, LOW, and DELAY modes are controlled by the windshield wiper/washer switch through a series of internal resistors. The windshield wiper switch supply voltage circuit is a 12-volt reference from the wiper motor module to the wiper/washer switch, and the switch position determines the point on the resistor assembly where the reference voltage is applied. The windshield wiper switch signal 1 circuit supplies the voltage from the resistor assembly to the wiper motor module and the signal voltage determines the operating mode. High speed operation is controlled by the windshield wiper/washer switch through the windshield wiper switch high signal circuit. The windshield wiper switch high signal circuit is supplied 12 volts by the wiper motor module and when the wiper/washer switch is turned to the HIGH position the windshield wiper switch high signal circuit is grounded through the switch ground circuit. The windshield washer pump is controlled through the windshield wash relay. The windshield wash relay coil and switch is supplied battery positive voltage, and during WASH mode the wiper motor module grounds the washer relay control circuit energizing the relay. When the relay is energized battery positive voltage to the switch side of the relay is supplied to the washer pump control circuit.

Looking for the fuse for the wiper motor 2008 chevy impala

WPR fuse 25amp under hood fuse box .
Wiper/Washer System Components
The Wiper/Washer System consists of the following components:
• Windshield wiper/washer switch
• Body control module (BCM)
• Wiper PCB relay
• Wiper high PCB relay
• Windshield wiper motor
• Windshield washer fluid pump
• Windshield washer fluid level switch
• WPR fuse 25 A
• WSW fuse 10 A
This is more then likely not a fuse issue !!!!!!!
Low Speed Operation
When the wiper switch is in the low speed position, ground is applied through the switch internal resistor and the wiper switch low signal circuit to the body control module (BCM). In response to this signal, the BCM energizes the WIPER PCB relay by applying battery voltage through the wiper relay control circuit to the coil side of the relay. This allows battery positive voltage from the WPR fuse to flow through the switch input side of the WIPER PCB relay and out to the switch input side of the WIPER HIGH PCB relay. Since the wiper high relay is de-energized and its switch contacts are normally closed to the low speed control circuit of the windshield wiper motor, the motor will operate at low speed.
Wiper motor low speed operation and the wiper PCB relay can also be commanded ON/OFF by using a scan tool. Refer to Control Module References.
The PCB relays mentioned above are soldered right into the circuit board inside the fuse/relay block under the hood . There are alot of reasons for the wipers not to work ! The fuse could be blown but fuse's don't just blow for no good reason , short to ground , low resistance high current flow etc.... Intermittant !

Power and Grounds
With the ignition in the ON position, accessory voltage is supplied through the 25A WPR fuse to the WIPER PCB relay, the WIPER HIGH PCB relay and the WS WASH PCB relay that are all located in the underhood fuse block. Refer to Wiper/Washer Schematics.
G200 provides ground for the windshield wiper motor and the WIPER PCB relay. G100 provides ground for the windshield washer fluid pump and the windshield washer fluid level switch.

1996 chevy truck 1500. my windshield wipers work

Check for a loose fuse or loose wiring to the wiper. Also check for tight ground connection at the motor. The 'park' switch which completes each cycle may be intermittent. It might be a worn switch at the steering wheel.

Wipers not working

First thing you could try is replacing the circuit board on your wiper motor. It's behind the black retangular box on your wiper motor. Not hard to change. A few screws and a plug in. Or- change the whole wiper motor. ( about $80 more than the board) Bolts can all be accessed by removing the cover at the bottom of your windshield. Pretty straight forward.
