To replace weather seals and rear window.

Water leaks thru both side doors and my rear window in my 2000 Chevrolet (convertible) Camaro is falling inward my car so when it rains I have a waiting pool in my car. So not cool!!!!! HELP ME. Rear Window sealant at bottom on both sides has come undone. Now looking for best way to repair this. The cloth that the sealant is on, does not streach far enough up the window to simply replace the sealant strip.
One trim shop has given me an estimate of replacing the entire conv top for like 1,600. But said it may be possible to replace the window with the lower cloth pre-attached. I am seeing some resemblance of this in rear window replacements. 250-450 depending if you want it tinted and with defroster.
Has anyone already dealt with this back window sealant problem??? Please let me know what you did to fix this please. Thanks

SOURCE: To replace weather seals and rear window.

I'm working on the rear window problem with my car -- the convertible top shop told me about options to replace the window (including the fabric, etc around it) or replacing the entire top (the window unit + outside fabric). I'm now looking into temporary fixes...

Meanwhile -- about the water under the seat -- my drain holes were plugged -- they unplugged them for me -- the water going through the window was carrying debris down and plugged them up -- so check that out so at least water won't sit there. YUCK! I'm tired of bailing.

I would like to hear if you found a solution.

My 2006 Denali truck gets water in the back passenger floor

Water in a rear foot well is usually from one of 4 places. A leaking sun roof, (if fitted), a leaking window seal, a leaking door seal or the feed pipe for the rear window wiper sprayer, (If one is fitted). Does it happen all the time or only when it is wet rain soaked weather. Door and window seals only leak in wet weather.
First check all the windows are wound all the way up And any sun roof is closed properly.
A way to test for the door and window leaks is to first dry everything out as best you can and then try this.
Use a garden hose set at a low pressure and wet just the door edges on the side that leaks. Try not to wet the sun roof as you can test that next. Use plenty of water. Walk away for 20 minutes or more to give the leak a chance to happen. When you return get into the vehicle from the OTHER side. Check to see if the carpet is wet again. A leaking window seal will often make the door card wet as well. Use this same method for checking a leaking sun roof.
The rear window wiper sprayer pipe runs under the carpet down the middle of the vehicle and will make the carpet wet in dry weather as well as when wet.

1995 Chev Tahoe 4 door. Water in rear cargo area near the rear doors. It leaks if I pour water over the rear of the roof near the top of the rear doors. All weather stripping on doors is in tact....

Check and make sure seals are even not warped. Check for rust around the are where it's leaking. If you have a compressor with a blow gun blow along the area where the water is leaking in. If you feel air coming through the area check and make sure the weather stripping is sealing properly. Doors could be out of alignment as well causing the leak. Or door seals could be rotting out.

Water leak on rear floor board 2011 camaro convertible

I had water behind the seat under the rug and it was the bladder in the car. The water runs off the convertible top and into a bladder that directs it out through the bottom of the car. My bladder/hose broke/came apart and therefore water was now coming into the car under the rug with no visible water coming down the inside of the car. It was fixed by Chevrolet a year ago and now the other side must have let go because again I have water under my rug behind the other seat. I am less than pleased. Car is going into Chevy this week and I will again demand that the rug be replaced after the problem is fixed. If I didn't love my car so much I would leave it there because I am furious that this has happened again

How do fix drver side rear sliding door window

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll see the innards of the door

Water standing floor of 1991 corsica

That can be caused by the door or window seals. Around all your doors there is a rubber seal, this seal can degrade and allow water into the interior. There are also seals around the windows and front and rear windshields. If I were you I would visually inspect all the rubber seals on all your doors and windows, if any part of the seals is worn it should be replaced. You can buy universal weatherstripping kits off the shelf at any auto parts store to replace any of yours that are bad and it's pretty easy to install. You can also pick up a tube of silicone sealent to seal any small gaps or cracks in the existing seals.

Hope this helps

03 impala passenge has FLOOR were it come from

pop the hood and take out the plastic shroud on the passenger side at the firewall. there is a rubber weather stripping that will direct the rain water off the wind shield other wise the rain will fall directly onto the top of the fan motor then run down onto the carpet. i noticed mine when the fan motor iced up and was about an inch thick of ice. all i did was RTV on the weather stripping to redirect the water good luck.

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
