My mechanic disconnected the security section because my key I use to start the car had the security spot on the key was loose and would not work in the ignition It was going to cost a lot for a new set of keys so he took the security section out for a lot less. As he said an older car does not need security.

SOURCE: 2005 ford taurus. Remote entry wont work theft light keeps blinking when key is engaged

HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.

2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.

If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

OK.. I hope this information work for you.

Thank's for submit yous question on fixya.com

SOURCE: 1995 ford escort, alarm keeps going off and car wont start

The alarm brain should not be the easy to locate if stock. Put everything as it was. The alarm brain, control, module or whatever any one wants to call it is most likely behind and under the radio possibly on the floor but in that area. That is if it is OEM if not then it should have been installed under the instrument cluster. I should be a small box probably held with zip-ties and it should have all the information, manufacturer, model and wire functions on the brain. If you think he found the right thing then have him look for the red wire that connects to it. It should have a 15amp fuse on the cable. If its taken out this will disable the alarm. What ever he found should say Security, Alarm or something like that. Not door control or anything other.

How to disable FOB? My FOB was stolen and need to disable it

All fobs stored in memory are erased at the successful programming of at least one fob. You will need a fob, try any automotive parts store or order from an eVendor.

Wow, you're all over the page with this request! :)
By saying "wont crank up or get in gear" I need to know, when you turn the key to start, does it in fact make the engine crank?
Make sure the shifter, if automatic, is all the way up into park.
Make sure battery is fully charged. Battery terminals are clean and tight.
Then turn key to on, not start yet. Are lights lighting up on instrument panel? Yes? No?
Try these things and let us know what you have.

Car wont start

On the first generation explorers (1990-1994)there is a fuel shut off located in the passenger floor board. peel the carpet back and see if the red button is pressed down...if it is use a flathead to pop it back up. Im not sure how it would get tripped but this is the only way in first gens to disable the fuel pump without removing it. You can check to see is the pump is pumping by turning the key to the run position but do not start. As soon as you turn the key you hear the normal chimes but near your driver-side rear tire (tire closest to gas tank) you should hear a humming of the fuel pump for about 3-4 secs. after that it quits. It is doing this to prime the system. If you don't hear that low hum then ill bet your switch we talked about earlier is in the off position (the down position)5fa7345.jpg

Hope this helps and if it did please rate this with the thumbs indicator beside it.

Need to access the spare tire on a 2000 ford explorer. IS there a special tool to lower the tire- how do I use it?

Yes, look under the hood in the front you will see a long rod looking thing held in with clips.Take this out and open the back of the explorer at the bottom center you see a hole facing the front of the car insert the rod and turn after it locks in. This will lower the spare.
