How to replace the fuel injectors on a 2002 Tahoe?

The usual procedure is to disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the fuel rail nuts, pull the rail up, and then replace the injectors. Is this not the procedure you used? We need to know more about the circumstances to help you.

The code means the computer has detected a drop in RPM for cylinder number 2. If you know compression is good, it has to be spark or fuel.
Have you checked for power and signal for the injector with a low voltage test light ? Do you know for a fact the coil is firing on that cylinder ?

Well the third ingredient is compression, but I will assume you have that. You say you have spark, so I will assume you checked for spark at the plugs. How do you know you have fuel spray at the injectors ?

Fuel injectors only receive power on one wire. The other wire is grounded by the PCM. That's what fires the injector. If could be the PCM, but most of the time it's a cam or crank sensor.

injectors sometimes change from year to year so you need to find out what years are inter changeable with your truck and engine size.you can ask the wreckers,the dealer or the parts stores.are they failing because of an electrical problem or because of a dirt problem.if its a dirt problem why not have the fuel system/injectors serviced to be cleaned.this may fix it and is cheaper than replacing injectors.if its electrical then replacement is the way to go.

Before deciding if it is the Fuel Injectors Check this first. This could be clogged or malfunctioning.

replace fuel pump relay. check all fuses to ignition and pcm .make sure they are not loose. check coil wires make sure they not loose.look at battery if you have the ac delco seal battery make sure green eye still there .if its black have battery check out.

That normally means that you have a issue with your gas cap try replacing your gas cap first then diconnect the negative terminal of the battery for about three minutes to clear the memory and start the truck again

DO some quick checks : fuel filter , fuel injectors (when was the last time you serviced the fuel injectors?) and last fuel pump ,hope this helps AJ
