Standard oil was put in the car when I bought it whereas it had always had BMW approved synthetic. Will this oil switch damage the engine/other

Yes, it could damaged your engine, drain and replace filter with what kind was on before, always use synthetic oil,I take my Toyota tundra to dealer to get oil change, and they scan the whole system for free and give me a print out of the results,if something is wrong, they will tell me and how much or I can fix my self. That's the best place to get oil change, hidden benefits. They told me once my license plate bulb was burnt out, they replaced for a dollar.

Can standard oil instead of BMW approved synthetic damage engine

It's highly doubtful that non-synthetic would damage your engine.
Synthetic decreases wear and modestly increases mpg. Other than that it's not much else.

My focus st170 is 6.5 years old, and has done approx 98K miles. This Morning the interior heater would only blow out cold air despite being set to the warmest setting. After a journey of only 2 miles or so...

Among things are a stuck thermostat. Oil problem can point to mixing oil and water from head gasket problem. The oil should be a separate system.

How many quarts does the sienna 2006 needs when perfoming oil cha

Exactly five quarts to do an oil change on this van assuming you are also replacing the oil filter.
How long between oil changes is typically recommended to be 5000 miles by Toyota. The van's service reminder light comes on at 5000 miles just for this purpose. To increase that interval is your choice.

We just bought a used 1999 silverado 5.3l 4x4 and i am not sure what type oil to use for an oil change

The oil weight is on the oil fill cap. (Usually 5w-30) Use a good oil, synthetic is better, but changing at 3000 miles for regular oil is good.

The check oil light at next gas station came on. Service is due in 4K miles. Amy I ok to drive about 100 miles?

Simply pull the dipstick and check the oil level, if it is still showing then yes you can still drive it much longer, swing by a mechanic and ask him to check that the oil pump is working correctly, only take 2 minutes and he shouldnt charge for having a look. Good luck

Is it better to put high milage oil for a standard oil change or a sinthetic blend oil in a mustange with over 167,000 miles?

I would definetly use a castrol high mileage 5W-30 because a fully synthetic oil has smaller molecules and will find it's way through your gaskets and start leaking.Castrol is a great tar based oil and not a wa based like penzoil or quaker state. which is actually bad for your engine and builds up sludge.

How frequently should the oil be changed

if you use regular motor oil it should be changed every 3000 miles or 3 months
if you use semi synthetic every 5000 miles

Changing plugs or flushing the infectors?

Your money is better spent getting some lucas injector cleaner instead of the flush LARGE BOTTLE for about 10 bucks, add 3 ounces for every 10 gallons and this doeas a real good job of cleaning injectors and also lubricating them and the top end. I have a 4.0L ranger w/88K and they are clean, I removed one just to see how it looked and it looked new, no deposits at all.. I put some in monthly and all my cars are performing better MPG wise.. one of them is a 1990 BMW 210K miles and they look almost new. I started using it on the BMW and after the great results there I put it in all my cars like Mom's Castor oil.... Keeps 'em regular.. :o)

Change the plugs... They say they are good to 100K Ok maybe but your fuel mileage will suffer as will your performance..
