nitescot, What you can try is to open up the rubber boot running from the body of the vehicle to the door. The constant opening and closing of the door will sometimes cause the wires inside the boot to break. This is a common problem when it comes to power windows. Open the boot with a knife being careful not to damage the wires inside. Look for any broken wires. Repair as necessary. Good luck with this.

The code is about the switch that monitors the hydraulic pressure for operating the low/reverse clutch of the transmission. That clutch is called into play for all forward gears as well as reverse, so it seems reasonable if that clutch were not working that the car wouldn't move in any gear. I would begin by making sure that there is sufficient trans fluid by inspecting its dipstick. If needed only use ATF +4 but don't overfill it. Also, just on a chance, take a look underneath to see if you see any motion of either the left or right half axles (or one moving, but one not) which would be another reason for no motion due to a drive shaft disconnection or some such anomaly. Other than that, your problem could be with the Low/Reverse solenoid switch in the solenoid pack portion of the transmission (the box on the driver's side of the trans) being stuck. That can be repaired without removing and rebuilding the transmission so let us hope that may be the cause. I would have the car towed to a good independent trans shop that has a reputation for knowing how to service the Chrysler electronic transmission.

what trans do you have? 3 speed or aod? if there is a circle around the "D" on the shift indicator then it is an AOD if not then 3 speed.best to buy a cheap chilton manuel at part store. would be to long to put on here

782 code is trans is 2-3 shift problem. This is inside the Trans Solenoid. This sits on the trans above the trans pan. $200 part includes gasket

I need a little mor info. But the reason for the being stuck in 2nd gear is because when something goes wrong with the tranny. it goes into "LIMP" mode wich keeps the trans. from shifting out of 2nd when you are going forward. It does sound like your trans. is gone out though.

is engine light on?may have a faulty input or output speed sensor or solenoid pack..should have trouble codes..if it's 3 speed trans,possible internal problem..need to know if it's 4speed or 3 speed trans

sounds like the front seal of the transmission is bad.  This is were the torque converter flange goes into the transmission.  May be time for a reseal job or a rebuilt transmission.

Yep ,sounds like limp mode ,should be in second gear.
Try,key on engine off,depress accelerator to floor 3 times within 5 seconds.Should reset trans.
