Do you have fire to the plugs, if so pull a rear plug and see if you are getting fuel to them if not check the Catalytic converter it maybe plugged. Exhaust must be open to create vacuum so engine can pull fuel into cylinders and plugs. I just went through some of this with my 1994 350 k1500 4 wheel drive

When the key switch is off and the engine is not running, do you have power to the coil ? Could be a problem with the key switch.

SOURCE: it will turn on the accessories but won't turn to

Check the ignition switch on top of the steering column,to see if it is locking up before it goes into start position. You will have to lower the column down to access the ignition switch,it has a rod going to it from the key cylinder,if it is not locking up,then replace the key cylinder. You will have to remove the ignition switch to check it,two screws.

A bad fuel pump will not keep the engine from turning over. I would first test your battery and make sure your connections are clean. If that check out I would check your starter and starter relay.

98 chevy cavalier turns over but won't start

i know industry jargon can be confusing, but lets try this. if it turns over but won't start, it could be your ''ignition module'' that sits on top of the vave cover on the motor or it might be the fuel pump or filter. make sure when you crank the engine that the key is all the way turned or it may not always make a proper contact to activate the ignition module. iv'e seen this before & had to change the ignition switch & all worked ok after that. i would need to know engine lt size to give you more details on the matter. please get back to me.

Inside or directly under the distribitor cap is a plastic ring with either one or two wires attached..... these devices fail and not allow the engine to start.
It happened on my 88 chevy (305 cu in.). a quick fix is to replace it with a new one.. (Advance Auto) or other parts store.

1993 gmc 1500 350cid - engine turns over but will not start. Fuel is good

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
If it's not turning over then the problem will be on the firing. If there's no current to the plugs, the engine won't fire up. Few things to look at to resolve the issue... First, the ignition coil can be faulty. Second, The ignition switch can be faulty. Third will be the starter. If it's faulty, it won't kick the flywheel. One good reason why it won't turn over.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
