I am having problems on a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder Passenger Window. Initally it was only going down, so in my past experience purchased a new motor, when attempting to replace, no recieves no response from either the passenger switch or the driver switch. After performing some tests on the motor wires, I recieve power from one wire and not the other, this was recieve from both using the passenger switch and drivers master switch. After reviewing the wiring diagram, I assumed it had to be a bad master switch. After replacing with another master switch, still same result, all other windows work fine, but no response from passenger. I am assuming a bad wire somewhere at this point and looking for the best way to find and fix from here. Thanks
On the passenger door, look for a broken wire in the door opening.
So you found power on one of the two wires. That was with holding the switch in one position, either up or down, right? Try it again, now hold the switch in the opposite position as before, now the other wire that had no power the first time should now have power. If not, probably a break in the wiring, look in the door jamb. If not a broken wire in the passenger door, it could be in the driver's door.
You see, the power is reversible to the window motors. When power goes down one wire to the motor, the other wire serves as a ground. The ground path goes back to the driver's master switch, where the ground for all the windows originate. Ground wire from master switch carries power to ground somewhere inside the cabin. Since other windows work, your ground is good. but the pass. window is, or seems to be missing a wire. Check by looking for power on both wires, but the window switch has to be opposite from the first time for the second wire to have power. Only if both show power is the wiring good, but they wont both show power at the same time-the switch has to be in right position to show power.
I hope this is clear, post back if you don't understand.
Oh yes, use the ohmmeter function of your multi-meter to check the wires' integrity. Just don't have any power on any of the wires you are checking, but check between the pass. door and the driver's master. Check both wires that go to the passenger window. That should tell you if you have a break in the wiring.

Have you checked the window regulator. (electric window motor). I seems a comon problem for the plastic to break at the bottom where the wire which pulls the glass up and down. The motor will still sound (clunk) if you use the window switch but will not lift the window.
Remove the trim off the door.
Undo the bolts holding the glass into the plastic at the bottom of the window and carefully remove the glass.
Unbolt and remove the sliding piece that holds the glass.
You should find the broken plastic at the bottom.
Replace and reinstall. Aftermarket parts are available at a fraction of the cost of buying new nissan parts. Second hand parts are available but costly.

Nissan does not use inline fuse. You are looking for fuse number 34 (red 10 amp fuse). It is located under the hood between the engine and battery. Possibly marked "ILL"

Sound like a window switch.
If you didn't hear any mechanical noises from window before it happened , most likly - switch. If noises were present , might be window regulator or a motor.

It can be either switch or any of the wiring in between. You have to follow a wiring diagram to test the circuit and this one is a bit complicated.
