Computer brain I'm told the EPROM on my 1994 Jimmy is bad and that I could only get this part from the dealership. I called a dealership and they said the part was discontinued. I found a "computer brain box" at a pull-a-part and was wondering if changing the whole computer would fix this issue and if not would this "computer brain box" contain the EPROM?

I woould look at the differentials and see if the gears are ok. You could have a bearing going out in one or both differentials. Most likely case is the rear diff. Also check the u joints for wear. Hope this helps.

that doesnt sound right, they should be carrying parts for at least 20 years worth of vehicles. try another dealer. you should be able to give them your vin and they should be able to produce some keys and key fobs.
