Can not lock car by key remote . toyota rav 4 53 plate

Battery ok in key.
press central lock in car and doors lock ok.
when lock door with key and unlock and open door the alarm goes off

CHECKMATE ALARM SYSTEM. NOT OPENING DOORS WHEN TRYING TO UNLOCK. UNABLE TO OPEN TRUNK OR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WITH KEY. KEY WILL NOT TURN IN TRUNK LOCK. OPEN DOOR ON PASSENGER SIDE, LOCKS OPEN, CLOSE DOOR ON DRIVER SIDE AFTER ENTRY, CAR ALARM GOES OFF. DISABLE ALARM, ENGINE DOES NOT START.

If your car has an alarm with a separate remote, it is a separate system and it is probably self-arming. When you lock the doors with the key central lock, the alarm gets armed by the RAV4 being OFF and the door locking action. When you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm is still armed because the key is not comunicating with the alarm just the cars factory keyless system.

2014 rav 4 rear door won't open. It sounds like it is unlocking, but won't open.

Check the child lock. If it does not open from earlier side then inner panel needs to go out snd see what's heppend. Not sure how locks designed on it, it could be that power lock actuator lever snapped from it's place

Toyota matrix remote not unlocking car - battery is new

Check to see if your central locking still works on all doors and that you can also operate the driver's door central lock motor.
This can sometimes be an issue with the door lock motors themselves and not necessarily the key.

Hi i have a 1997 rav 4 & i can't get the passenger side front door open the key won;t open it nor will the central locking

try takeing the door panel off and check to see if the rod came out of the lock button.

Central locking on my Toyota RAV4 is working on opening 3 doos only. Driver door not responding to the remote.

The actuator for the power locks is probably frozen or bad, or else the wiring has broken to it. Or, the body control module is bad.

The back door on my 2003 rav 4 doesn't lock with the remote but does lock with the key. It opens with the remote ok. Is this a minor or major electrical problem?

You need the rear door lock actuator assembly;
part number 69110-42100. The cost of this part is $244.04, plus instalation. It will take about 1 hour to change it.

730d sport 04. I lock the car with remote key, but when i try the doors the car opens.. no alarm nothing..

When you press lock you should hear central locking click.
If you don.t the remote battery is flat.You can not change battery,it charges in ignition as you drive.Have you got a second key to try.
If not use manual key located in remote key{check ln owners manual}to lock car.Also using this key will confirm central locking is ok.

Our 1999 camry remote central locking remote died. Purchased a new one from toyota dealer has had done 3 years earlier. This time the dealer wanted a $35 fee to synchronise the remote so it will operate....

sit on driver seat close all doors
six times open close driver side door fastly and close the door
after that original key in your hand put in ignition switch and six times switch battery on and off during this remote keep in second hand and press lock unlock button and it will work normal
