Can't help with a problem of getting into the car, assuming the keys don't work. As for charging the battery, make sure all accessories are off in both cars, hook up the cables to the dead battery first, noting which one goes to the + cable on the battery. That same cable will go to the + terminal on the car that is running. Make the last connection the one that goes to the - terminal on the running car.
Let the battery charge for 2-3 minutes and then try to start. If it doesn't start after 5 minutes, rev the engine on the jump car and that will add voltage to the connection. Try to start again after a few minutes. After you get it going, let your car run for 20 minutes to build up the battery. When disconnecting the cables, keep the ends from touching until all cables are disconnected from the batteries.

99 suzuki vitara v6 turns on all power but wont

the starter uses 10x more elect. power than the head lamps
or 100x more than dash lamps. it means little.
what matters most is jumper cable starts.
does it crank with jumper cables to a running, donor car,(aaa jump)
no bad starter
no, bad starter key line( immobliizer or such) ask how to test.
yes, cranks great, now.
that means the battery was dead,
i charge the battery and it now cranks, due to lights left on or
charge system failure, if battery goes to 13.3 to 15v running good
if on the charge system failed. (causing battery discharge)
if after charging a battery it will not crank car, its a bad battery (jumps ok)
